David Taylor

Founder and Lead Surveyor

David has over 20 years of industry experience and over 11 years as an independent damp surveyor, holding multiple certifications and some affiliations to trade bodies if they allow full independence.

  • CSRT (Certified Surveyor in Remedial Treatments), accredited by the Property Care Association (PCA).
  • CSSW (Certified Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing) accredited by PCA on waterproofing systems.
  • Qualified Domestic Ventilation Installer accredited by BPEC to better understand ventilation needs.
  • Member of SPAB (Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings) further trained by SPAB and membership to better understand the needs of older buildings.
  • Our surveyors should also be able to provide an up-to-date DBS (Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service) check), previously known as CRB (Criminal Record Bureau).

David primarily leads surveys in: Gloucestershire, Bristol, Hereford and Worcestershire, but depending on the availability of his colleagues, we all tend to work to support each other.

  • Trained and accredited as a BDMA technician, with certification issued by the British Damage Management Association.
  • Employed as a senior fire and flood restoration technician, with approaching 20 years of experience to call on.
  • Additionally trained in the art of Heritage Buildings & High net worth restoration.

Mike also has a great deal of experience in dealing with older properties, many of them a high net worth and is qualified to investigate causes of property damage for Insurance providers and property owners, qualified to diagnose rising damp, penetrating damp and condensation issues, his surveys cover Torquay, Plymouth, Totnes, Exeter and Dartmouth.
